Wellington 75th Birthday
On Tuesday the 19th June 2012 a hurried organised trip to Wellington was run with just Wab794 and our water tank UC191. The Wab sat at the station during day to help celebrate the Wellington Station 75th birthday. Teapot (Phil Wagener) and Tim Kerwin run the train to Wellington and keep the Wab in steam. They even got time to cook bacon and eggs on the shovel in the firebox.
On show at the station was an old English Electric unit, a Ganz Mavag unit, and the new Matangi electric unit, along with our Steam Engine Wab794.
