A wonderful day in Woodville at the Mad Hatters Fair

Take the Woodville Wanderer through the Manawatu Gorge and view the magnificence of the gorge from the safety of the railway track. On the other side you will see the area at the southern end that has resulted in the Manawatu Gorge being closed to road traffic. The Manawatu Standard reported on 14 September 2017 that the slip was 170 times bigger than the slip in 2011 that closed the gorge for a year.
Once through the Gorge it’s on to Woodville where buses will take you (no charge) into the Woodville township where you will find all businesses and cafes open, most with special offers.
A Beer Garden will feature amoung a variety of live entertainment. On board the train you will receive an information pack on the train from Woodville Ambassadors who will tell you about their great little town. Join in the fun, wear a different style of hat – and be in to win “The Mad Hatters Hat Competition”!
